HyperVelocity Gives Back with Pledge 1%

We’re civic-minded people here at HyperVelocity. We recycle, give to charity when we can, all that good citizen-of-the-world stuff. So when we were given the opportunity to join theĀ Pledge 1% movement along with our partners at Atlassian, we jumped at the chance.

What’s this Pledge, anyway?

Pledge 1% is beautifully simple: donate 1% of your company’s equity, product, or time (or all 3 for the go-getters out there) to causes you care about. As your business grows, so does your positive impact.

OurĀ Commitment

Time is the most valuable resource there is for brain-powered companies like ours – so that’s what we’re going to share with the world. Every year, we’ll dedicate 1% of employee time to charitable causes. And we’re pretty sure we’ll have fun doing it, too!

First up: our CEO and Managing Director, Justin & Megan. Inspired by their toddler, they ran a toy drive, with excellent results.

They’ll team up with Baby2Baby, an organization that provides high-quality toys and essential baby items to low-income families. Baby2Baby works with partner organizations (including homeless and domestic violence shelters) to get much-needed supplies to over 150,000 children each year.

Stay tuned as Justin & Megan as they get these toys to kids in need, and help Baby2Baby sort through it all. We’ll show you how it all shakes out.

More about the pledge:
